Payment Terms & Cancellation/Refund Policy

Last Updated: 07/22/2025

At Life’s Abri’s, we aim to provide transparent, flexible, and fair payment and cancellation practices—balanced with the realities of working with third-party vendors and global timelines. This policy outlines payment structures, refund eligibility, and cancellation procedures so travelers can make informed financial decisions and understand their responsibilities when booking a trip through our agency.

1. Standard Payment Structure

Payment timelines may vary slightly depending on the destination or trip type, but most itineraries follow this structure:

Custom or Private Trips:

  • Initial Deposit: Due upon booking to confirm services

  • Installments: As scheduled (usually monthly)

  • Final Balance: Due no later than 30 days before departure

Group Trips (Pre-Packaged Itineraries):

  • Initial Deposit: Due upon sign-up to secure your spot

  • Installments: As scheduled (usually monthly or quarterly)

  • Final Balance: Due 90 days before departure unless otherwise stated

Failure to make payments on time may result in service forfeiture, late fees, or cancellation of the trip without refund.

2. Accepted Payment Methods

We accept:

  • Major credit and debit cards (Visa, MasterCard, Discover, AmEx)

  • Secure online payment via Google Pay

  • ACH transfers

We do not accept cash, checks, or direct payments to vendors. All payments must be processed through Life’s Abri’s to be valid and protected.

3. Missed or Late Payments

Life’s Abri’s will make reasonable efforts to send reminders before payment deadlines. However:

  • Late payments may incur a late fee

  • Failure to pay on time may result in loss of trip components or full cancellation

Reinstatement after missed payment is not guaranteed and, if possible, may involve price adjustments based on updated vendor availability.

4. Cancellations by Traveler

All cancellation requests must be made in writing. Refund eligibility is based on the date the written request is received:

Refund Eligibility: At any point after the initial deposit and before departure, your trip is partially refundable. You will be refunded the total amount paid less unrecoverable vendor costs and a $250 per/person cancellation fee for each person in your party. Once the trip has commenced, no refund is available.

Note: Refund eligibility and cancellation fees take into account the time, administrative labor, and non-recoverable vendor actions initiated during booking.

5. Unrecoverable Vendor Costs

Some components of your trip (e.g., flights, tickets, hotels, tours) may be non-refundable or partially refundable based on vendor terms. If you cancel, we will attempt to recover and refund whatever portion we can, but we are bound by the terms of third-party providers.

6. Modifications by Traveler

Requests to change trip dates, add or remove travelers, alter destinations, or shift accommodations may:

  • Be treated as a partial cancellation

  • Require new contracts and pricing

  • Incur administrative or vendor change fees

  • Be denied if made too close to departure

Any modification must be made in writing and is not considered valid until confirmed in writing by Life’s Abri’s.

7. Cancellations by Life’s Abri’s

In the rare event Life’s Abri’s must cancel a trip for operational or safety reasons:

  • You will be offered the option of rescheduling, receiving a credit, or a partial refund (less unrecoverable costs)

  • Refunds will not exceed the amount received by Life’s Abri’s for your trip

  • Refunds or credits may take up to 30 days depending on vendor processing

We are not responsible for third-party costs booked independently by the traveler (such as airfare not arranged through us).

8. Force Majeure & Unforeseen Circumstances

We are not liable for delays, changes, or cancellations due to force majeure, including but not limited to:

  • Weather disruptions or natural disasters

  • Government shutdowns or strikes

  • Pandemics or border closures

  • Political unrest or war

  • Supplier bankruptcy or failure to perform

In such cases, refunds will be based on what vendors are willing to return. Where possible, we will offer a travel credit toward future trips. Travel insurance is your best protection in these instances.

9. Refund Processing Timeline

If a refund is due, we aim to process it within 15–30 business days of cancellation, pending vendor reimbursements. Refunds will be returned to the original payment method, minus any fees or deductions noted above.

10. Travel Insurance & Refunds

Refunds for disruptions, cancellations, or delays may be eligible under your travel insurance policy. Life’s Abri’s will provide invoices, documentation, and vendor statements directly to the insurance provider that are needed to support your claim. We do not guarantee approval or reimbursement as insurance companies are independent entities and decisions are based on multiple factors.

11. Final Note

Your travel arrangements are a collaborative investment of time and resources. We respect your commitment and do everything possible to uphold our end. In turn, we ask travelers to understand the financial commitments, timelines, and boundaries that allow us to continue offering unforgettable journeys around the world.
