Flight Booking & Airfare Policy

Last Updated: 07/22/2025

At Life’s Abri’s, we understand that flights are a critical part of any international journey. While we aim to streamline the travel process, it is important to clarify the extent of our role in flight-related services and what responsibilities ultimately lie with the traveler, airline, or travel insurance provider.

This policy outlines what to expect regarding airfare, booking assistance, flight changes, and delays, and aims to ensure transparency and set clear expectations.

1. Scope of Services

Life’s Abri’s is a travel agency that offers travel arrangement services, we are not an airline or flight consolidator. Depending on the package or traveler preference, we may either:

  • Book flights on behalf of the traveler, OR

  • Provide guidance and recommendations so the traveler can book independently.

In both scenarios, flights are arranged through third-party carriers and subject to their terms, pricing structures, and policies. Life’s Abri’s acts solely as a facilitator and does not control airline operations or outcomes.

2. Flight Budgets, Class, and Inclusions

For trips where airfare is included, the flight component is subject to the following inclusions and the traveler can opt out at any stage in the trip proposal process if they wish to book their own flights because of it. Inclusions typically reflect:

  • Economy class, round-trip airfare

  • One checked bag (size restrictions vary by airline)

  • One personal item Carry-on bag (size restrictions vary by airline)

Upgrades (e.g. seat selection, premium class, additional bags, or priority boarding) and guarantees of traveler-preferred airlines are not included unless explicitly stated otherwise. Furthermore, if looking to make upgrades after flights are already confirmed, the client may login using their name and confirmation number to make any changes to their booking directly with the airline.

3. Traveler Responsibilities

The traveler is solely responsible for:

  • Ensuring names provided for booking match their government-issued passport

  • Notifying Life’s Abri’s of any special needs or travel restrictions before booking

  • Monitoring emails from us regarding flight confirmations, ticket numbers, and updates

  • Checking in for flights on time, with the required documents

  • Following all airline and airport regulations

Failure to comply with any of the above may result in denied boarding or loss of funds, which will not be the responsibility of Life’s Abri’s.

4. Changes, Cancellations & Rebooking

Airline-controlled issues such as schedule changes, delays, strikes, weather disruptions, missed connections, or overbookings are outside of Life’s Abri’s control.

If flights were booked by Life’s Abri’s:

  • We may offer limited rebooking help as a courtesy, but fees charged by the airline will be the traveler’s responsibility

  • Travel insurance is strongly recommended for broader protection

If flights were booked independently:

  • The traveler is responsible for handling changes, cancellations, and any associated costs directly with the airline or booking platform

5. Missed Flights & No-Shows

If a traveler misses their flight for any reason—including late arrival, denied boarding, lack of documentation, or visa issues—the traveler will be responsible for:

  • Any additional airfare

  • Ground transport or tour modifications due to delayed arrival

Life’s Abri’s will assist with rerouting only if possible, but cannot guarantee a replacement itinerary or refund.

6. Flight Documentation

For flights booked through Life’s Abri’s, we will provide:

  • Airline confirmation number

  • Basic flight schedule overview

  • Itinerary or E-ticket as applicable

We do not provide internal invoices or vendor breakdowns beyond these documents. These materials are generally sufficient for insurance claims, but will work with the travel insurance company if more is needed.

7. Travel Insurance & Coverage

We strongly recommend that all travelers purchase comprehensive travel insurance, including trip interruption and cancellation coverage, to protect against unexpected issues with flights. Insurance may cover:

  • Missed connections

  • Delays

  • Airline bankruptcy

  • Emergency rebooking

  • Lost baggage

Life’s Abri’s is not responsible for reimbursement or rebooking due to airline-related issues, even if we facilitated the booking. All reimbursement claims must be made directly with the airline or through your insurance provider.

8. Airline Loyalty Programs & Points

If you would like to accrue miles or utilize a frequent flyer number, please provide that information before the flight is booked. As clients have access to manage flight information in advance, Life’s Abri’s is not responsible for lost or missing points for any reason.

9. Group Travel and Flight Coordination

For group trips, Life’s Abri’s may attempt to coordinate similar or shared arrival times; however, this is subject to availability and cannot be guaranteed. In some cases, travelers will arrive on different flights and may be grouped together at a central pickup point or designated arrival window.

10. Limitation of Liability

Life’s Abri’s is not liable for:

  • Airline performance, staff, or operational issues

  • Flight delays, cancellations, or changes

  • Missed connections or baggage mishandling

  • Traveler decisions or errors, including missed flights

The traveler agrees to hold harmless Life’s Abri’s from any direct or indirect losses, costs, or inconveniences caused by airline operations.
